We may collect the following personal data when you interact with us:
- Contact details — your name, email address, and/or phone number, when you reach out via the website, WhatsApp, or email.
- Conversation content — messages you exchange with us through WhatsApp or email, to understand your needs and follow up with you.
- Usage data — anonymous analytics data (pages visited, session duration, country) collected via PostHog when you browse melvy.io.
3. Why we collect it (legal basis)
- Legitimate interest — to respond to your enquiries and carry on conversations you initiated.
- Consent — for analytics tracking on the website. You can opt out at any time by contacting us.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your contact details and conversation history for as long as the relationship is active plus up to 12 months after our last interaction. Analytics data is retained according to PostHog's default retention settings.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your data. We use the following third-party processors:
- PostHog (EU servers) — website analytics.
- Meta / WhatsApp — messaging platform used for conversations.
- Google — email infrastructure.
Each processor is bound by their own privacy policies and, where applicable, GDPR-compliant data processing agreements.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR and Spanish data protection law (LOPDGDD), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Lodge a complaint with the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD) at aepd.es.

7. Cookies and tracking
melvy.io uses PostHog for analytics. PostHog may set cookies or use local storage to track anonymous usage. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. We encourage you to review it periodically.
